万: ten thousand; myriad; many. JLPT N5; 3 strokes.
万 means "ten thousand" and, by extension, "very many, all".
On readings: マン is the numeric reading: 一万 (いちまん, ten thousand), 百万 (ひゃくまん, one million), 万年筆 (まんねんひつ, fountain pen), 万引き (まんびき, shoplifting), 万一 (まんいち, in the unlikely event that). バン means "all, everything": 万歳 (ばんざい, hooray), 万能 (ばんのう, versatile, universal), 万国 (ばんこく, all countries), 万全 (ばんぜん, perfect, impeccable).
Special readings: 八百万 (やおよろず, myriads) is read as a whole word.
Remember: in Japanese, large numbers are counted in groups of four digits: 1万 = 10,000, 10万 = 100,000, 100万 = 1,000,000; the next group is 億 (おく, one hundred million). The traditional form of the kanji is 萬.
